EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - 2016 EU regulation that was adopted to the EU’s data protection laws. One key element is that under the (GDPR), companies who handle large stores of sensitive personal information must assign a (Data Protection Officer) (DPO) (in most cases). The regulation compliance date is 25 May 2018.
