HFTP Hangout: Reexamining Your Ethical Leadership
Part of the HFTP Leadership Excellence Series

Thursday, 21 September 2023
2:00 PM Central

Clare Peace, HR Business Partner at CertiPay/Vensure

Ethical Leadership is important today, particularly because of the many recent scandals in corporate America and the political realm. So having strong leadership in ethics in the hospitality industry is crucial to help you model moral behavior in the workplace when you are in a position of power. Integrity, moral behavior, and ethics are key to being a great leader. How do you know you are an ethical leader?

The Ethical Leadership Style Questionnaire (ELSQ) will be presented in the Leadership Excellence Series as an opportunity to self-report and measure your ethical leadership. It’s an instrument to assess the leader’s style of ethical leadership and understand their decision-making preferences when confronting ethical dilemmas. The series is intended as a guide to some of the ethical issues that arise in leadership situations in the hospitality industry. Be prepared to share your insight on your ethical leadership style.

Objectives:

  • Learn why ethical leadership is important in today's business environment.
  • Prepare for ethical issues that arise in leadership situations.
  • Measure your ethical leadership.
